This work analyzes some phenomena related to the impact of migration on the native language of Ukrainian migrants in Italy. The analysis is carried out on a corpus of posts collected from six pages of the social networks Facebook, VKontakte and Odnoklassniki. The findings demonstrate that Ukrainian migrants are highly creative language users and integrate a large number of Italian lexical items and some Italian syntactic constructions into their language practices. Lexical borrowings from Italian are well integrated into the Ukrainian, with phonological adjustments and inflection markers of the target language. The research provides original empirical data to better understand various interlanguage phenomena in Ukrainian-Italian bilingual contexts.
