The globalisation of contemporary Chinese literature has triggered a number of debates aiming to underline the connections between global Chinese literature and world literature. This article envisages a discussion on the possibility of applying the theories originally conceived for the analysis of world literature to approach global Chinese literature. Starting from the models elabo- rated by Damrosch, Moretti, Casanova, etc., the analysis will address their compatibility with a new conception of a deterritorialized Chinese literature, and their influence on the definitions of its critical apparatus. Firstly, their role in the pursuit of a dialogue between the local and global dimensions will be highlighted. Secondly, their application aimed to overcome the traditional monoglossia tradition- ally implicit in the discourse on Chinese literature will be discussed. Finally, these theories will be used to define the multiplicity of the literary spaces composing Chinese literature, conceived as a translinguistic and transnational entity.

Abstract
Finally, these theories will be used to define the multiplicity of the literary spaces composing Chinese literature, conceived as a translinguistic and transnational entity.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
