Inserted in the theoretical framework of Media Geography, this work aims at deconstructing media narratives emerging in Italy both from the traditional media ecosystem and social media with a specific focus on a highly debated issue, namely, climate change, to scrutinize to what extent these two media dimensions shape overlapping and/or conflicting narratives on the topic. As a result, the work is organized as follows: first, it analyses the role of old and new media in shaping opinions and perceptions at the individual and collective levels; the third paragraph synthesizes methods and methodological frameworks; the fourth paragraph focuses on the findings of our analysis, while the last paragraphs include discussion and conclusions.

Abstract
Inserted in the theoretical framework of Media Geography, this work aims at deconstructing media narratives emerging in Italy both from the traditional media ecosystem and social media with a specific focus on a highly debated issue, namely, climate change, to scrutinize to what extent these two media dimensions shape overlapping and/or conflicting narratives on the topic. As a result, the work is organized as follows: first, it analyses the role of old and new media in shaping opinions and perceptions at the individual and collective levels; the third paragraph synthesizes methods and methodological frameworks; the fourth paragraph focuses on the findings of our analysis, while the last paragraphs include discussion and conclusions.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
