Quantum Monte-Carlo methods are well suited to study the stability of few-body systems. Their capabilities are illustrated by studying the critical stability of the hydrogen molecular ion whose nuclei and electron interact through the Yukawa potential, and the stability of small helium clusters.

Abstract

Quantum Monte-Carlo methods are well suited to study the stability of few-body systems. Their capabilities are illustrated by studying the critical stability of the hydrogen molecular ion whose nuclei and electron interact through the Yukawa potential, and the stability of small helium clusters.
