The high-resolution spatiotemporal (ST) three-dimensional mapping (3DM) technique was used to investigate wave packet at output of X crystal. The sum-frequency generation was probed with 20-fs compressed pulse which revealed X-type wave shape. The nonlinear X waves were found to be stationary localized wave packets which play key role in ST dynamics to focus media with normal group-velocity dispersion (GVD). The X-type or conical-like shape of wave packet was formed at trailing edge of pulse.

Abstract
The high-resolution spatiotemporal (ST) three-dimensional mapping (3DM) technique was used to investigate wave packet at output of X crystal. The sum-frequency generation was probed with 20-fs compressed pulse which revealed X-type wave shape. The nonlinear X waves were found to be stationary localized wave packets which play key role in ST dynamics to focus media with normal group-velocity dispersion (GVD). The X-type or conical-like shape of wave packet was formed at trailing edge of pulse.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
