A second adult specimen of Lariosaurus valceresii from the Kalkschiefer-zone of Ca' del Frate allows a comparison with the holotype. The two specimens show a different degree of ossification especially as far as the forelimb is concerned and a slight difference in limb proportions. However, since the diagnostic features of L. valceresii are present in both specimens, the differences are tentatively attributed to sexual dimorphism as in some neusticosaurs. The abundance of juveniles of fishes and reptiles suggests that the locality was possibly a protected environment used by several taxa as reproductive area.

Abstract
A second adult specimen of Lariosaurus valceresii from the Kalkschieferzone of Ca' del Frate allows a comparison with the holotype. © 2004 E.
