This study assessed response to transcervical Foley catheter as a ripening agent through changes in the cervical length and the posterior cervical angle as determined on ultrasound. Preripening cervical length was an independent predictor of successful cervical ripening and labor induction. Cervical length determined by sonography was the only postripening characteristic that independently predicted vaginal delivery.

Abstract
This study assessed response to transcervical Foley catheter as a ripening agent through changes in the cervical length and the posterior cervical angle as determined on ultrasound. Preripening cervical length was an independent predictor of successful cervical ripening and labor induction. Cervical length determined by sonography was the only postripening characteristic that independently predicted vaginal delivery.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
