Since 1999 a number of graduates from different universities has worked together in the corridoio.zero non-profit association. Corridoio.zero is composed by professionals and researchers and promotes activities of co-operation with governmental and non-governmental organisations from civic society, universities and other educational institutions from countries of the Balkan area and of the Mediterranean region, organising training and research seminars, setting up territorial intervention projects and promoting actions related to sharing information for community decisions and in order to contribute to conflicts transformation and mediation. The association has provided a common interface for all the participant having in common similar interest in international cooperation projects based on the mutual recognition of partners. The paper presents different experiences during which the multidisciplinary approach was fruitfully adopted. For example as partner in the OPTIMA VIth Framework project, corridoio.zero developed a methodology for stakeholders active-involvement within the decisional process for water management optimization, organizing on-site activities in two pilot Case Studies (Lebanon and Jordan) and providing Guidelines to all partners.
