The classification of follicular cysts has always been a controversial issue. In the literature the presence of a follicular cyst is generally associated to a lacking tooth eruption. The case reported by the Authors describe a follicular cyst concerning a permanent molar tooth completely erupted in the dental arch. This case denies a well established clinical dogma and lengthens the time of the possible onset of follicular cysts.
