In northern Italy, especially in smaller municipalities, the typical residential building is a detached or semidetached household, in most cases owned by the occupants. Until 1976 there was no regulation concerning building energy performance and only after 2007 stricter requirements have been adopted thanks to the European directive implementation. Energy efficiency measure achieving large energy savings may me adopted in most existing buildings. A regular energy audit of the building, including detailed economic evaluation and performed by a qualified professional may cost up to 600-800 euro. If the audits’ costs are reduced, then a larger group of costumer may be interested in them. Given the results of the audit, they may be interested to invest in energy saving measures. A group of professional and researcher has developed a simplified Energy Audit procedure for residential buildings, with focus on single housing units (i.e. houses and apartments). This procedure has been already applied and tested in more than 100 households in Northern Italy.

Abstract
This procedure has been already applied and tested in more than 100 households in Northern Italy.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
