Located just before the beginning of the Western Lombardy Prealps, the Parco di Montevecchia e Valle del Curone area represents a classic example of a physio-geologically homogeneous territory, where an extensive archaeological survey project, as well as systematic excavations carried in the last decades of the XXth century led to the identification of numerous clusters of surface lithic artifacts together with some very localized high quality flint outcrops.
