In this paper a model for the simulation of wire bundles has been presented. This model can be used to provide an estimation of the magnetic induction generated by an electrical switchboard. Moreover, a logical tree representation of a power network has been discussed. Such representation allows an efficient determination of the currents flowing into conductors from load demand. Hence, magnetic field generated by a power line network inside a building can be then easily determined. A real-life case study has been provided, showing a good agreement between simulation and measurement results.

Abstract

In this paper a model for the simulation of wire bundles has been presented. This model can be used to provide an estimation of the magnetic induction generated by an electrical switchboard. Moreover, a logical tree representation of a power network has been discussed. Such representation allows an efficient determination of the currents flowing into conductors from load demand. Hence, magnetic field generated by a power line network inside a building can be then easily determined. A real-life case study has been provided, showing a good agreement between simulation and measurement results.
