The Heterologous Lyophilized Collagen (H.L.C.) used in experimental microvascular surgery induced reliable haemostasis, greatly reducing the bleeding time compared to the conventional techniques of compression, which are sometimes responsible of vascular trauma and thrombosis on the delicate vascular anastomosis. Furthermore, the H.L.C. used as a 'cuff' around the microvascular anastomosis could act as an ideal biological support to the orientated and physiological repair of the impaired vessel.

Abstract
The Heterologous Lyophilized Collagen (H.L.C.) used in experimental microvascular surgery induced reliable haemostasis, greatly reducing the bleeding time compared to the conventional techniques of compression, which are sometimes responsible of vascular trauma and thrombosis on the delicate vascular anastomosis. Furthermore, the H.L.C. used as a 'cuff' around the microvascular anastomosis could act as an ideal biological support to the orientated and physiological repair of the impaired vessel.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
