Abstract

The name Tages, lacking any clear Latin or Greek etymology, is most likely related to an Etruscan form; however, it cannot be found in the theonymic repertoire passed on through captions to mirrors or wall paintings. The present work is aimed at formulating a new interpretative proposal, which, unlike previous efforts, takes into account the levels of phonetic and morphological analysis.
