Abstract
The relationship between mankind and technology is constantly evolving and progressing. In particular, the so-called “smart” devices modify not only behaviors and psychological structures of individuals, but also the reciprocal relationship in the man-machine paradigm: the post-modern subject relies on the technological apparatus, the only instrument capable of providing immediate answers. Everything that falls within the techno-scientific paradigm is subject to performative activities and the individual – understood both as corporeity and psychic dimension – become a techno-sensitive subject. In this perspective, individuals develop addictions without substance, in particular the so-called ‘Smartphone Addiction’, that could be intended as a consequence of surveillance capitalism; this new form of capitalism gently push individuals towards a constant relation with technological devices. Along with the technological apparatus, Surveillance Capitalism narcotize individuals with a consequent loss of self-consciousness, interest in Other, and political participation.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
