The research highlighted in this paper was developed as collaboration between two universities (from Romania and Italy) in the frame of a co-supervised PhD in the field of soil pollution. The idea started from the need of having different alternatives when we deal with organic polluted soils. Soil degradation has been recognized as a serious problem in Europe for many years and the estimation, for the present period, of the number for the polluted soils is quite high (more than 250 000 according to the European Environment Agency). This paper presents the results obtained after applying an electric based treatment in order to remediate hydrocarbons polluted soils. This type of treatment proved to be efficient also for organic and inorganic pollution of soils.

Abstract
The research highlighted in this paper was developed as collaboration between two universities (from Romania and Italy) in the frame of a co-supervised PhD in the field of soil pollution. The idea started from the need of having different alternatives when we deal with organic polluted soils. Soil degradation has been recognized as a serious problem in Europe for many years and the estimation, for the present period, of the number for the polluted soils is quite high (more than 250 000 according to the European Environment Agency). This paper presents the results obtained after applying an electric based treatment in order to remediate hydrocarbons polluted soils. This type of treatment proved to be efficient also for organic and inorganic pollution of soils.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
