Law n. 2013-404 provides gay marriage in the French legal system. Due to the lack of a conscience clause, a judiciary case was started by a group of mayors. Is it possible to recognize conscientious objections for people fulfilling public functions? May we point out some general requirements for the legal provision of a conscience clause?
