The isolation, mass production and characterization in solution and solid state of the facial stereoisomers of the Alq3 molecule were analyzed. The availability of blue-light-emitting Alq3 lead to the development of organic light-emitting devices (OLED). Investigations show the experimental energy difference between the photoluminescence (PL) spectra of mer- and fac- Alq3 in solution. The development of OLED with thorough knowledge of optical and electronic properties of Alq3 allowed the use of single active material for red-green-blue (RGB) applications.

Abstract
The isolation, mass production and characterization in solution and solid state of the facial stereoisomers of the Alq3 molecule were analyzed. The availability of blue-light-emitting Alq3 lead to the development of organic light-emitting devices (OLED). Investigations show the experimental energy difference between the photoluminescence (PL) spectra of mer- and fac- Alq3 in solution. The development of OLED with thorough knowledge of optical and electronic properties of Alq3 allowed the use of single active material for red-green-blue (RGB) applications.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
