The essay analyses the intestate succession of ius civile from the point of view of the senate consults Tertullian and Orphitian; it considers in particular the sequence of persons admitted to the succession according to Ulpian’s commentary ad Sabinum, highlighting the existence, in this work, of a specific title on consanguinei, of which no trace is found in the Digest.
