Plastic waste and microplastics are relevant challenges in the sustainability transition. Gaps between scientific knowledge and public behavior are emerging. In this frame Edu4PlastiCircular (Erasmus+ project 2023-2026) is developing a modular, evidence-based training program where plastics is linked to circular economy and climate-neutral strategies. This article presents project's methodology and key results. A systematic skills-gap analysis (based on 248 respondents) revealed critical needs in micro-/nanoplastics, waste management, and circular economy principles. A consequent training architecture with 5 modules and 24 lessons was developed for students and professionals. The project features a cloud platform, micro-modules as open educational resources, and a mooc aimed at upskilling over 200 learners. Edu4PlastiCircular wants to offer a replicable model to strengthen green and digital skills for plastics management within a climate-neutral framework.
