Eclectic approach in counselling derives from necessity – arisen from our clinical experience in sanitary, scholastic and university context – to possess a flexible and dynamic tool suitable to the complexity of situations managed by health and mental-health operators. Integrative model is the pragmatic translation of eclectic approach in counselling. It integrates many different theoretical models so that it lives aside every specific operator’s background. It considers person in a global way and emphasizes social context as resource. Present work defines fundamental principles, characteristics and aims of integrative counselling and explains operative strategies that lead counsellor’s action. Counselling process is described as a flow chart useful to orient services organization. The structure of counselling intervention is articulated in three phases (initial, intermediate and final) that are described through three basic components (relationship, content and action). Regarding to evaluation of interventions efficacy some process and outcome indicators are proposed. In conclusion we underline that eclectic approach in counselling is very important because it can make easier communication and agreement between operators with different cultural background and different theoretical reference models

Abstract
In conclusion we underline that eclectic approach in counselling is very important because it can make easier communication and agreement between operators with different cultural background and different theoretical reference modelsFile | Dimensione | Formato | |
