Obiettivi e metodi del Counselling: Principi Fondamentali

Since the early nineties we faced the need to clarify the objectives and methodology of counseling interventions applied to different areas of clinical practice. Although many questions remain unresolved and it is clear the importance of keeping alive the debate among professionals working in the field, some questions have found, in our system of personal and professional beliefs, a defined response. So we got to structure, over the years, a model of intervention increasingly clear and delineated, that showed on the field of clinical practice and training its efficacy and its good responsiveness to the needs of clients. This paper sets out the main objectives and principles of counseling applied in the university context. We underlined the need, in order to make effective and defined the intervention, to promote integration with other territorial services, outlining a network of facilities to refer the cases in which the analysis and redefinition of the problem have highlighted the need for psychotherapeutic intervention.
