The Cassinas, wood sculptors, were originally from Cernobbio and had a workshop in Casale Monferrato. The two known exponents were Paolo Felice and Severino Felice. The workshop's activity extended over a large geographical area between Piedmont and Lombardy. The author reconstructs the catalogue of works, which includes the Madonna of the Rosary in Rosasco, Lomellina, signed by Severino Felice. She also points out the 18th-century Madonna in the church of the Madonna dei Sette Dolori in Vigevano, a work of Roman derivation that in a certain way recalls Severino’s works.

Abstract
The Cassinas, wood sculptors, were originally from Cernobbio and had a workshop in Casale Monferrato. The two known exponents were Paolo Felice and Severino Felice. The workshop's activity extended over a large geographical area between Piedmont and Lombardy. The author reconstructs the catalogue of works, which includes the Madonna of the Rosary in Rosasco, Lomellina, signed by Severino Felice. She also points out the 18th-century Madonna in the church of the Madonna dei Sette Dolori in Vigevano, a work of Roman derivation that in a certain way recalls Severino’s works.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
