The name represents a distinctive feature of personal identity and is an essential aspect within the personality building and the relationship with other individuals. This research presents a qualitative analysis of some linguistic changes related to the names of L2 speakers in Italy, in order to formulate some considerations on linguistic prestige and the consequent intercultural impact on the migrants’ minorities, deepening the theme of the name variations.
