Due to the absence of research in this area, the language concerning web gambling is an element of interest on the part of the linguistic investigation. Indeed, it often happens that other fields of study and gaming law refer to language and communication without substantiating its characteristics. Therefore, an exploratory investigation into the specificities of this area of language application has been conducted. In particular, it has assessed the adherence and correspondence of the language used in the pages dedicated to online gambling with the concept of language for specific purpose. Finally, the linguistic analysis, based on sample research, has identified many points of contact between the language of online gambling, advertising and bureaucratic language.
